The primary servicing objective offered by CIS-SFVGLA is to reduce at-risk behaviors in youth and young adults in the West San Fernando Valley.
We provide intensive case management including, but not limited to: mentoring, strength-based family strategies, tutoring, field trips, family activities, conflict resolution, workshops, and school follow-up services to ensure academic success.
Additionally, we collaborate with local, state and federal agencies and services in an effort to promote engagement and compliance with these agencies, to enhance community ties, and increase healthy family relationships.
Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CIS’ focus is to address two main problems that affect the community: school drop out rates and community violence. CIS works with at-risk students, children, and young adults to help them excel in today’s society.
